We want to change the world but what for?
For the sake of the earth alone?
Nay I say unto you that this desire, this motivation, this inexplicable and beautiful course is in fact a virtue of selfishness.
We want to change the world for ourselves.
To inject all the things it is missing.
To right the wrongs of our past by proxy through others.
For our friends, family, neighbors, children, lovers, comrades.
For the future generations to declare – “Aye! We were here!” and to nod to the past generations who built the ladders on which we stand.
Death is either the period, question mark or exclamation point on the short sentence of your life.
What will it say to readers unknown?
